Quick Lime (Calcium Oxide) — Bulk Supply Across India
IS 1514 compliant, ISO 9001:2015 certified. 5 purity grades from 75% to 92% CaO. High-reactivity quick lime from Pipar City, Rajasthan. Minimum order 15 MT.
What is Quick Lime?
Quick Lime, chemically known as Calcium Oxide (CaO), is produced by calcining high-grade limestone (CaCO₃) in rotary kilns at temperatures above 900°C. The calcination process drives off carbon dioxide, leaving behind highly reactive Calcium Oxide in lump, pebble, granular, or powder form.
At Shree Ram Lime & Chemical, we manufacture Quick Lime using high-purity limestone from our own deposits in Rajasthan's Pipar City, Jodhpur district. Our rotary kilns operate at controlled temperatures to produce Quick Lime with consistent CaO content, high reactivity (t60 < 3 minutes), and low silica impurity.
We supply Quick Lime in 5 purity grades — from Standard (75% CaO) to Premium (90–92% CaO) — to steel plants, mining operations, AAC block manufacturers, flue gas treatment systems, and chemical processing units across India.

Industry Applications of Quick Lime
Quick Lime for Steel Plants
Quick Lime is an essential flux in steel manufacturing — used in blast furnaces and basic oxygen furnaces (BOF) to remove silica, phosphorus, and sulphur impurities from molten iron. It forms slag that floats on the metal surface and is removed. Grade III or Premium (88–92% CaO) with high reactivity is required for steel plant applications. We supply to steel plants in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.
Quick Lime for AAC Block Manufacturing
Quick Lime is a primary raw material in Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) block production. It reacts exothermically with water during the mixing stage, generating heat that activates the aluminium powder to produce hydrogen gas — creating the characteristic cellular structure of AAC blocks. Grade II or Grade III (85–88% CaO) with consistent reactivity is required. We supply to AAC block plants across India.
Quick Lime for Mining Operations
In gold and silver mining, Quick Lime is used in the cyanidation process to maintain alkaline pH (above 10.5), preventing formation of toxic hydrogen cyanide gas and improving gold recovery. It is also used for pH control in tailings ponds and acid mine drainage treatment. Grade II or above (85%+ CaO) is recommended for mining applications.
Quick Lime for Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD)
Power plants, cement plants, and industrial boilers use Quick Lime in dry or semi-dry flue gas desulphurisation systems to remove sulphur dioxide (SO₂) and other acid gases from exhaust. Quick Lime reacts with SO₂ to form calcium sulphite/sulphate, which is collected as a dry solid. Premium Grade (90–92% CaO) with high surface area is preferred for FGD applications.
Quick Lime for Chemical Manufacturing
Quick Lime is a key raw material in chemical synthesis — used in production of calcium carbide (for acetylene), calcium hypochlorite (bleaching powder), precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC), and various calcium-based specialty chemicals. It is also used for drying and desiccation in chemical processes. Grade III or Premium is used for chemical industry applications.
Quick Lime for Soil Stabilisation & Construction
Quick Lime is used in road construction and civil engineering for deep soil stabilisation — particularly for treating expansive clay soils. The exothermic reaction with soil moisture dries and modifies the soil structure, improving bearing capacity. Standard or Grade I (75–80% CaO) is commonly used for construction applications.
